![]() ![]() It’s easily one of the strongest tracks of this great album, and it’s a ten out of ten on the catchy-o-meter (maybe I should make this a thing…). ![]() Whether you like pop or rock or even both, this song is a must have for you. All in all, this is a standout vocal track for sure, and if you don’t sing along with this then you have more will power me, my friend. I know they’re a trademark of the band, but the production on this album (which is fantastic by the way) really brings them out and you can hear every nuance. Based on your geographical location US we, on request of our licencer, unfortunately cant give you access to the lyrics. Woo boy, the harmonies kill me every time they’re so good. He absolutely kills it on this one with his trademark powerhouse voice and sarcastic, quick witted lyrics. Lead singer Alex Gaskarth is one hell of a singer and lyric writer. The song drives through the majority of its length, but there’s a great little cut out and kick in at the final leg, and a great closing with a military march style snare drum beat. The choice of chords maybe a little cliche, but my firm belief is that no matter how many times a progression is used, as long as you enjoy it, then you should definitely listen to it. #ALL TIME LOW THE RECKLESS AND THE BRAVE LYRICS CRACK#They boom and crack like lightning, and they performance of all musicians here is super tight. The drums are really something else though. The guitar riffs are driving and powerful and they practically blow the speakers up. Starting with the awesome stuttering guitar effect at the very beginning, the song is very well put together musically. It’s extremely hooky and catchy, like a lot of All Time Low’s material, but it’s also frenetic, and remarkably textured for a pop-punk track. It’s perfect to absolutely scream out in the car or sing into your hairbrush…not that I do that. The opening track on the album, “The Reckless and the Brave,” is a pulse pounding rager of a track. Modern day pop-punk staple All Time Low hit an all time HIGH with their 2012 release Don’t Panic, which I gave quite a fair amount of praise to in another publication. And walk my dog.Happy 50th song, everyone! Looks like I’m still around, and I plan to see this project through to the end! As All Time Low would say, “Long live the reckless and the brave!” Speaking of which… After that, I'm just excited to go sit on my couch and have a beer. I get to leave the show and go home and sleep in my own bed. chorus d a long live the reckless and the brave bm i don't think i wanna be saved a my song has not been sung so,long live us verse d looking out at town called suburbia, a everybody's just. The album kinda goes chronologically from there, ending with "So Long, Thanks for All the Booze," which is kinda saying, this is what we went through to get here, we're proud of who we are, and we're ready to take on this next chapter.ĬP: Anything you're really looking forward to in coming back to town?ĪG: I still live in Baltimore. The lead track is really about how we got our start, taking a chance, not going to college. When I started writing, there were certain elements to the lyrics that really became about telling the story of where we came from, because we never really told that story before. There was a lot of self-realization in that time period. We slowly started working our way up to playing VFWs and church halls, and finally got in to some real venues like Ottobar and Fletcher's, the Recher Theatre, Sidebar Tavern, and that's what propelled us forward.ĬP: So what made you want to do an autobiographical album?ĪG: The record came at a time when we had just parted ways with Interscope Records and we were unsigned, making the album ourselves. ![]() We played someone's birthday party, things like that, anything we could do to just play in front of people. We played a talent show at a high school, which I don't think we won. CP: How did you get a local foothold when you first formed the band?ĪG: Our first couple shows were just silly things. ![]()
